Problem

A question raised by a member of the attendees at the meeting with the Council on 16th January 2003 caused concern to a few of us.

The Question

What could Councillor Mole tell us about the rumour that the block of Houses and Flats including Oban Terrace, Asher Street, Tulip Street and North View Terrace were the next homes to be demolished??. 

There was no definitive answer, this encouraged us to get together and start this site to fight any future Compulsory Purchase Orders and Demolition of these properties. More recently it seems that the redevelopment and improvement of the area will not lead to any demolition. However, we are keeping a close eye in case a change of policy happens.
