Meanwhile decisions on work that needed to be done were changed on a daily basis as time was running out and with the limited time left to complete this scheme Able construction would not be able to meet their contract.
Tulip Street, North View Terrace, Reginald Street and Asher Street have benefited from Stone Cleaning, New guttering and down pipes. The rear walls in the associated back lanes have also been rebuilt.

Work has started in the gardens opposite Tulip Street the thick undergrowth has been cut back and a new retaining wall is being built along the length of the street. 12th March 2005.
Work is soon to start on the refurbishment work of the housing in this area although some of the promised work such as replacement roofs and rewiring has been dropped due to the cost of the contracts which have now been signed and the fact that some of the money was handed back as it was unspent within the required period.
The allotments behind Oban Terrace have been demolished and will be grassed over until a final decision has been made on what to do with the land. There are planning applications for apartments but it is rumoured that this will be denied as this would increase the concentration of housing units in an already highly populated area. 10th March 2005.
